Military Reporter has just obtained a copy of Lt. Colonel Daniel Davis’ 84-page assessment of the war in Afghanistan. Davis, a 17-year combat veteran, doesn’t mince words and says that after 10 years of fighting, it has been a disaster for the U.S. military, and the military’s own top brass has kept this hidden from Congress and the American public.
“Senior ranking US military leaders have so distorted the truth when communicating with the U.S. Congress and American people in regards to conditions on the ground in Afghanistan that the truth has become unrecognizable. This deception has damaged America’s credibility among both our allies and enemies, severely limiting our ability to reach a political solution to the war in Afghanistan.”
